Guess Who's Back? Nike Attack Red Crush!
The year is 1984, and Nike is not yet the international powerhouse that dominates the sports and sportswear markets. The Oregon-based brand takes a few bets on certain athletes and focuses on three sports: running, basketball, and tennis. In the latter, it is John McEnroe who is the headliner. The young New Yorker with a fiery temperament perfectly embodies the "rebel" side of the Swoosh brand that comes to energize a somewhat sleepy sports market.
It will take nearly four decades to see the pro model imagined for Mac again: The Nike Mac Attack. It even loses the prefix of the Irish surname to become Attack! Nike also releases the original box with its iconic checkerboard. The Nike Attack Red Crush is available on FENOM.
