Nike Dunk QS Paris
Nike celebrates the oldest basketball court in the world.
The oldest basketball court in the world is in Paris, in the 9th arrondissement. The American brand wanted to pay tribute to it by dedicating two pairs of sneakers to this magical place.
If you didn’t know, we owe this historic place to the YMCA, which created it at the end of the 19th century, almost 130 years ago. The design of the two Dunk is a tribute to the architecture as a whole: its parquet floor, its nets, the colors ... The models are full of incredible details like so many winks to an extraordinary story.
We dedicated a full feature to this project on SNEAKERS. You can discover more photos and anecdotes there.
This duo of Nike Dunk Paris will be released exclusively worldwide on our e-shop on June 11th 2018. All of the profits from the sale will be redistributed to a charity for the restoration and preservation of this historic monument.
