Bike Life in Paris

the Origins

Although very present in Paris Intramuros, this practice comes from Greater Paris and has been democratized by its inhabitants. The war waged by the authorities against urban motorcycle rodeos has pushed young people to test new forms of expression.

@oneway.shermann discovered the Bike Life with the adults in his neighborhood. When he was little, he saw them wheeling past under his window, which pushed him to take up cycling. Today, he regularly goes to the Quai de Valmy to meet his friends with the same story.

BIKING

For several years now, Paris has been inhabited by a new energy. All over the capital, crews of young people travel through the city on their bikes. From Bastille to La Concorde, via rue de Rivoli, these groups ride together to bring a new practice to life.

Initially from Greater Paris, @lily.tkw meets up with her friends at Quai Valmy every weekend to ride. What interests her in this discipline is impressing the rest of the crew with his tricks.

The future

Today, the Bike Life community is structured around crews with a real influence on the younger generation. These groups are another way to create social bonds between the actors of this new generation.
