Nike W Dunk Low DISRUPT

True To Your Crew, 35 years later: the motto associated with the first Nike Dunk campaign in 1985 still rings true. The product was reinvented with a more contemporary design: a higher, deconstructed sole and a slightly reworked upper. We asked the photographer Felipe Barbosa to present this silhouette taking inspiration from the classicism of Flemish painting. A modern sneaker as a revisited classic that we introduced to three friends, a crew: Maeva, Yasmina and Katel.

My name is Maeva, I'm almost 25 years old and I live in Saint Ouen.

I play music as a solo artist, and my stage name is Ak47meow. My friends and family are very motivating and inspiring and give me strength, so as soon as I get out of the studio I send them my demos to see what they think.

Today, I do many things because I always thought I could do whatever I like. Of course, I don't put the same intensity into everything, but this allows me to always be in the creative process and to get out of my comfort zone, which helps me to grow even more.

A crew to me is like a circle, and the smaller the better. The first things that come to mind are loyalty and longevity; we're past the age of changing our crew or circle of friends every 5 minutes. Next, we also have sincerity, talking about your personal problems, being able to share all the things of everyday life.

A word describe this new dunk?

For me this dunk is multifunctional, because a girl who has never worn a dunk and who doesn't focus on the newest shoes will find this version more accessible: beautiful, simple, and practical. She can wear it with anything, no matter what her style. And, on the other hand, this new version may just as well appeal to girls in my position, who were already fans of dunk even in its SB versions.

My name is Yasmina, I'm 23 years old and I live in Bondy in the suburbs of Paris.

What I love in life is creating with my hands and in every possible way! Pottery, painting, or making jewelry. Craftsmanship of all kinds. I'm a fan of Asian culture, from Japanese pottery/ceramics to meditation through Tibetan bowls.

One of the things that brings us together is our common love for sneakers and street culture.

I love to do lots of things, I'm curious and hungry to learn new things all the time. My entourage is rich and diverse, which helps me a lot.

A crew to me is more than just a bunch of friends - it's a second family. We lift each other up so that each of us can succeed as much as possible in his or her projects. It's a loyalty without rivalry, because we share each other's success.

My name is Katel aka Kartel. I'm currently a bartender, it's been a job to pay the bills for a long time, because I wanted to be emancipated fairly early. I've traveled a lot and I love it. I'm interested in fashion and all forms of art.

My main passions are writing, plants, and more particularly their uses for human beings.

I'm a literary graduate, and I've always tried my hand at everything. I had my musical, artistic, and entrepreneurial phase without really finding what best defines me. I think that as long as you don't set a limit, you can do anything. You have to try things. Right now, I'm thinking of turning to alternative medicine.

A crew is a family, because our love is real, they're not just passing friends. The essential values are strength of spirit, the ability to rise up together and not judge each other.
