The adidas Superstar makes a comeback

The adidas Superstar is certainly the most emblematic silhouette of the German brand alongside the Stan Smith. Indeed, the pair is a classic for all sneaker fans.

A global success

The pair first appeared in 1969 and was originally dedicated to basketball. In the mid-1980s, the model became a worldwide success thanks to the legendary hip-hop duo Run D.M.C. and their song “My adidas”, where the two artists sang with adidas Superstar unlaced on their feet. Since then, the Superstar has never disappeared and you only have to walk down the street for a few minutes to realize it. It has been released in countless colorways and has been revisited in dozens of iconic collaborations.

50th candle for the Superstar

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the silhouette, adidas wanted to connect to its origins with a pair of “OG” White/Black.
